Reality Star Shot by Nephew While Driving to Mother's Funeral
VH1 reality TV star Benzino was shot by his nephew while driving to his mother's funeral in Plymouth, Mass., reports Boston.com.
Authorities told the site that a bullet hit Benzino, real name Raymond Scott, in the arm and another grazed his back when his nephew Gai Scott pulled up alongside his red SUV and opened fire.
The star of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" and CEO of Hip-Hop Weekly magazine is recovering in the hospital and considered in "good condition."
Gai Scott was taken into custody and charged with assault with intent to murder.
There was reportedly tension building between the uncle and nephew leading up to the incident.
Benzino told fans via Instagram, "Feel much better, GOD IS REAL... MY MOTHER TOUCHED ME, IM CERTAIN."
