Timbaland's highly anticipated album "Shock Value II" drops Dec. 8 -- and the superstar music producer is teaming up with Verizon Wireless and BlackBerry this weekend to promote the new record.
Timbaland will take the stage on Saturday for a star-studded invitation-only performance at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. A few of the artists who appear on the album will also perform, including R&B singers JoJo and Brandy.
Brandy introduces her rapping alter-ego Bran'Nu on the album, and a source tells Extratv.com, "Timbaland is all about reviving artists."
"Shock Value II" also features guest appearances from Justin Timberlake, Daughtry, Drake, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus.
Only Justin Timberlake could bring the biggest names in music together for one night -- and "Extra" was there!
"I brought 'em out tonight," the 28-year-old superstar told the crowd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The Justin Timberlake and Friends concert featured Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Timbaland, TLC, Snoop Dogg, Ciara and Jay Sean and benefited Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Timberlake wore his signature hat, blazer and button-down flannel and opened the show with a funky blues rendition of "FutureSex/LoveSounds." He played emcee for the night and shared the mic with Ciara and later Snoop Dogg. The pop crooner also rocked out with Timbaland for his entire set. The two performed a new track that could be on Timbaland's upcoming album "Shock Value 2."
Justin wrapped the three-hour show with a memorable set of his own. The Grammy winner mashed-up Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" with his 2002 hit "Cry Me a River." Earlier this summer, Timberlake was spotted at the Kings of Leon concert in L.A. and recently told "Extra" he can't stop listening on his iPod to his fellow Tennessee-natives. Justin will also appear on the upcoming Kings of Leon remix album that also features interpretations from Linkin Park and Pharrell Williams.
The sexy singer was ready to call it a night after he tickled the ivories for "What Goes Around.../...Comes Around" but he played one more song and surprised the audience with a freestyle version of "Until the End of Time" for the couples in the crowd. "There are a lot of haters, but are there any lovers out there?" Justin asked.
Timberlake's incredible talent, impromptu dance moves and lovable personality rocked the Las Vegas strip and raised close to $1 million for charity.
Hip-Hop singer/producer Timbaland wed his girlfriend of two years, Monique Idlett, in a ceremony on a private island in Aruba yesterday, reports Us magazine. The couple had an informal wedding in Virginia last month... in their sweats!
The island ceremony hosted 300 guests, including hip-hop heavy-hitters Missy Elliott, Omarion, rapper Magoo, and Interscope/Geffen Chairman Jimmy Iovine. The Miami-based newlyweds welcomed a baby girl in November, who was carried down the aisle by longtime friend Fredrick Fraser, VP of Mosely Music.
Timbaland has two sons, Demetrius and Frankie, from a previous relationship. This is the first marriage for both.
The New York Post is claiming that Britney Spears has pulled out of a scheduled duet with her old flame, Justin Timberlake!
The duet was supposed to be produced by hit-maker Timbaland, and would most likely have marked a comeback for the embattled star.
It was believed that Brit would open the MTV Video Music Awards with the hit, but last month she inexplicably backed out.
A music industry source tells the Post that Justin "wrote the duet specifically for Spears."
But today Justin's camp told "Extra" that the reports aren't true - and that Justin was never even scheduled or confirmed to be in the studio with Britney!
