Tim McGraw opened up to “Extra” about giving up alcohol and the secret behind his hot new body.
The sober country singer called his drinking “disruptive” and explained, “Everybody could look and say, well, gosh he didn't drink that much... or some people could say he drank too much, but for me it was too much and for me it was a point to where I wanted to change what I was doing.”Sobriety does a body good. "I drank a lot from my point of view and I needed to stop," the 45-year-old said. "I felt quitting was something I needed to do. "Country Strong's" Tim McGraw loved co-starring with Gwyneth Paltrow, and got a kick out of hanging with Paltrow's husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
"We're big fans of Coldplay. My wife Faith is like a killer fan," McGraw told "Extra's" Renee Bargh.
The country singer/actor said Martin and the band spent some time at his digs in Nashville while he and Paltrow were on location filming "Country Strong."
Country music's first couple, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, staged the "Nashville Rising" concert to benefit victims of the city's recent devastating floods, with help from their friends like Sandra Bullock, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.

"It's good stuff isn't it? Sign that girl right away," Hill laughed with "Extra" at the event.
Country music couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are gathering the biggest names in country music for a special concert June 22 to help those affected by Nashville's devastating floods.

"The damage that we've seen to people's homes and the effect that the flooding has had on their lives is unimaginable. But we've seen the spirit of our community firsthand, as volunteers, church groups and our local business leaders rally to help," McGraw and Hill said in a statement.
