Scottish singer Susan Boyle, who became an overnight sensation after appearing on "Britain's Got Talent" in 2009, says she found out a year ago that she has a form of autism known as Asperger's syndrome.
Boyle, 52, revealed the diagnosis in an interview with the Observer newspaper on Saturday. She said she finally sought help after years of believing she suffered from brain damage and being teased for being different.

Simon Cowell told "Extra's" Terri Seymour that if he had to choose someone to perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding next April, England's newest singing sensation Susan Boyle would be the one.

"American Idol" judge Simon Cowell confirmed to reporters Wednesday night at the National Television Awards in London that he's in the process of securing acts for a charity single, the proceeds of which will aid the victims of last Tuesday's earthquake in Haiti.
Cowell has not yet confirmed who will participate on the track, but The Sun speculated that he would likely secure "X Factor" sensations Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle, with Beyoncé and Lady Gaga also mentioned as possibilities.

Other celebs jumping on the charity music bandwagon include Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie, said to be working on a remake of "We Are the World," with all proceeds to go toward Haiti relief.
