President Barack Obama honored Stevie Wonder with the second annual Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song -- and revealed the singing sensation was partly responsible for his marriage to his First Lady!

"I think it's fair to say that had I not been a Stevie Wonder fan, Michelle might not have dated me," Obama revealed to guests during the award presentation, as reported by AP. "We might not have married. The fact that we agreed on Stevie was part of the essence of our courtship."
Mrs. Obama -- decked out in a gorgeous green dress made by Stevie Wonder's wife, Kai Millard Morris -- began the celebration by sharing that she listened to Wonder's tunes with her grandfather, and when she met the Commander-in-Chief, she "discovered what Stevie meant when he sang about love." She added, "Barack and I chose the song, 'You and I,' as our wedding song."
The 22-time Grammy winner, an early supporter of Obama in the presidential race, humbly accepted the award -- and said that he hoped the 44th president could unite the world "so that in my lifetime I can write some more songs about love, about unity, and real songs of passion."
