Al Roker slams Heidi and Spencer Pratt again

"Today Show's" Al Roker isn't apologizing for his interview with Heidi and Spencer Pratt and he doesn't know why they are considered famous.

Roker tells "Extra," "There is this brand of celebrity that's famous for just being kind of famous. Haven't done anything. Haven't contributed anything and then have the temerity to behave extremely badly." He explains his "bullying" interview style, saying, "As a parent, if my 7-year-old behaves badly, I may verbally spank them, and so that's a little of what happened yesterday."

When Heidi said she wanted to be like Mother Theresa, Al was shocked. "Last I checked, Mother Teresa was known for charity works. For doing good. For helping people. Not for posing in Playboy," he said. Adding, "The idea that you want to be a hero, well, hero is more than growing a flesh-colored beard. I think we need to redefine what celebrity is in this country."

On Monday, Heidi said women know how Roker behaved. Al told "Extra," "Anybody who's watched the "Today Show," watched the hundreds of interviews I've done with men or women, there has never been a complaint because most of these people are non-delusional."

Heidi Pratt forgives Al Roker

Heidi and Spencer Pratt have a few things to say to Al Roker, but they're still trying to figure out who he is.

Speidi thought the "Today Show" co-host was too aggressive when he asked if Heidi was proud of her behavior on NBC's "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here."

"People keep on referring to this weatherman like I'm supposed to know who he is," Spencer tells Usmagazine.com. Adding, "So a shout-out to Weatherman, who I guess got to even hang out with us this morning."

"This weather guy was definitely out of line, and he should stick to predicting cloudy days," Heidi tells Us. "Maybe someone rained on his little parade today."

She continues, "Please do not be rude to women in the future. Please do not be rude to me. Please watch your tone, especially if you have a mother or a wife or a daughter. I don't think that they would appreciate you talking to them like that."

For now, the feud is over. Heidi says, "I forgive you, you don't even have to ask me, I already forgive you. It's okay. The devil gets into all of us sometimes. You're forgiven. It'll be a sunny day tomorrow, Weatherman!"

UPDATE: Tuesday morning on the "Today Show," Al defended himself against allegations that he "persecuted" the Pratts. Al told co-host Meredith Vieira, "I believe I asked what a lot people wanted to know."

Spencer said it was only by the grace of God that he didn't physically attack Al, but Roker says, "If he had tried to come across, I would have dropped him like a bag of dirt."

Roker then slammed the reality TV couple's fame. "There are a lot of celebrities who come on the show who've actually done something, who act civil."

Heidi declared that she had already forgiven "the weatherman."

A war of words is brewing between Heidi and Spencer Pratt and Al Roker!

Heidi and Spencer Pratt and Al Roker

After surviving in the jungle (and Four Seasons) in Costa Rica, Speidi flew to New York to talk to Al Roker on the "Today Show" -- and now they say Al went on the offense!

During their interview, Roker asked the "Hills" duo about their stint on "I'm a Celebrity," and at one point told Spencer that people think he's a jerk, and quizzed Heidi hardball style. "The guy was a bully -- nobody has ever verbally berated my wife like that," Spencer tells "Extra."

"He got very aggressive with me," Heidi chimed in. Mrs. Pratt tells "Extra" that she was literally driven to tears by Al's questioning about the drama on "Celebrity," saying, "I felt like I was being persecuted."

Heidi adds, "Women should know... he's not just gonna be, you know, normal and courteous to you." Spencer admits that he was so upset that he almost threw a punch! "I was like, 'this guy's about to get hit.' My heart was just pounding, 'be good Spencer, don't hit him in the face.'"

After the interview, Roker wrote on his Twitter, "Heidi and Spencer are an interesting couple. famous for... being infamous. Bad and vacuous behavior. I think we're at minute 11 of their 15."

Spencer replies, "Congratulations, you get to be talked about for a day. Must be cool." Heidi adds, "I'm gonna pray for him 'cause I feel like the devil really got a hold of him."

And that's what's happening in our neck of the woods.

Heidi and Spencer Pratt leave Costa Rica

They are "celebrities" and they got out of there! On Monday, Heidi and Spencer Pratt announced they would take their final bow on "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" because the conditions had led to Heidi being hospitalized.

Spencer said, "We gave it our all that we can, but now it's about health." "The Hills" star added, "Doctors are going to be with her the next three days and it's just, you know, we went back in and we proved to ourselves that it wasn't about us. It was a life-changing experience."

Heidi's sister Holly Montag will replace the newlyweds on the show.

Heidi was rushed to the hospital over the weekend -- after being sentenced to the "Lost Chamber." Reps for the reality TV couple tell "Extra" she was sent to the hospital because "she was not feeling well."

Heidi Pratt was hospitalized after being sentenced to the Lost Chamber on "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" -- but "Extra" got a peek of the "torture" chamber, and it doesn't look so bad! Check out the jungle accommodations!

Reps for Speidi released a statement to "Extra" regarding reports that they were "tortured." It reads:

"There have been many reports that surfaced over the weekend regarding Spencer and Heidi Pratt. Many of these reports are false and inaccurate, including any reports of "torture" on the show. What we can say at this time is that Heidi went to a hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica Saturday evening because she was not feeling well. She has been released from the hospital and is doing well. The couple remains in Costa Rica. In addition, it was reported the Pratts have fired their legal counsel. This is inaccurate."

"I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here" airs tonight on NBC.

speidi is not hurt in the jungle

After reality princess Heidi Pratt was rushed to the hospital in Costa Rica, rumors circulated that questioned the safety of the contestants on "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here." Now, sources tell "Extra" that there is no truth to rumors that Speidi was hurt.

The insider sets the record straight with "Extra," saying, "Accusations that Heidi and/or Spencer were harmed in any way are untrue. They quit the show last Monday; stayed in a hotel for 3 days. Then on Thursday, they re-joined show and entered the 'Lost Chamber.' They stayed in Chamber from 4:30PM until 6:30AM."

The source insists the Lost Chamber posed no harm to the "Hills" duo. "The environment in the "Lost Chamber" was not in any way harmful or dangerous; no critters, just a few ordinary bugs. They were indoors -- never in any danger or facing life-threatening situations. Absolutely no one is or was being held against their will."

ITV Studios, the producers of "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here," have released a statement regarding the rumors Speidi was injured while filming the show. It reads: "Press reports at this time are untrue. ITV has been producing this format around the world for many years and the health of the celeb participants are of the utmost importance. A medic and a doctor are present at the location at all times for all participants. All allegations of the celebrities being deprived of food and water are completely untrue."
