Mulligan, 24, hails from Britain and got her first big break in "Pride & Prejudice" alongside Keira Knightley and Dame Judy Dench. Carey is currently filming "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" with beau Shia LaBeouf.
Carey also stars in the movie "An Education" as a bright-eyed schoolgirl whose Oxford ambition goes out the window when she meets a smooth older man, played by Peter Sarsgaard. Mulligan talked to "Extra" about the film in an exclusive interview.

Harrison Ford told France's Le Figaro that he's ready to reprise his role as the outspoken professor-turned-hero for the fifth time -- if the script is right. "The story for the new 'Indiana Jones' is in the process of taking form," Ford explained. "Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put the costume on again."
In June, Harrison's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" co-star Shia LaBeouf -- who played Indiana's son Mutt in the film -- confirmed that Spielberg was hard at work on the next Indy installment, telling the BBC, "Steven's just said that he's cracked the story."
"Crystal Skull" has earned nearly $800M worldwide.

Shia opened up about his first time to "Extra's" Mario Lopez -- and while it wasn't a bad experience, LaBeouf admits that he tried to act more experienced than he was! "It wasn't a bad experience. It was humorous. I was trying to be something I wasn't. I was trying to be a pro about it."
Megan, Shia's onscreen love interest in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," confesses to "Extra" that when it comes to smooching skills, Shia impressed her! "I was shocked at what a good kisser he was. He just didn't seem like the sexy type."
The bombshell brunette is consistently featured on Hollywood Hot lists, but tells "Extra" that on the set, she's just one of the guys. "No one's really protective of me," Megan says of her co-stars. "I'm just sort of expected to man-up."

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" star Shia LaBeouf doesn't regret calling his mother the "sexiest woman" he knows.
Last month, LaBeouf confessed to Playboy, "Probably the sexiest woman I know is my mother." Now the 23-year-old is responding to the public's reaction. "I'm not having sex with my mother. It's ridiculous," he tells "Extra."
LaBeouf says Mother's Day was coming up and "I don't have any problems appearing crazy to make my mother smile, but she is the most beautiful woman on this planet and I love her." Shia describes his mom Shayna, saying, "She's fly as hell. I stand by that. My mom's awesome."
LaBeouf and director Steven Speilberg killed the box office last summer with "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and the young star tells "Extra" he would be game for another, saying, "Last I heard they're making progress in terms of the story. I know Harrison Ford is fired up to get back in there as soon as possible and George Lucas and Steven Spielberg want to make another one." No confirmation yet, but he says, "They're making progress but nothing is definite about it."
Next up for Shia is the "Wall Street" sequel, shooting in August. He dishes, "It's definitely going to be different. Just the financial landscape is very different. We're talking about the crime of the century." The star adds, "In this financial climate, it's very relevant."
