YouTube is about to get a whole lot funnier with the launch of Sarah Silverman and Michael Cera’s new comedy channel, JASH. The comic actors announced their latest venture, along with fellow funnymen Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim and Reggie Watts, at an SXSW party on Sunday, according to Deadline.com.
The network is the first of its kind, offering comedians financing and production resources as well as creative control and revenue shares, says Deadline.Actor Matt Damon finally exacted revenge on Jimmy Kimmel, after being “bumped” from his late-night show for the past 10 years. The Oscar winner kidnapped the host, duct-taped him to a chair and made him watch as he brought a bunch of famous friends, including Ben Affleck, Demi Moore, and Kimmel’s ex, Sarah Silverman, to toy with the funnyman. Nicole Kidman even gave Jimmy a lap dance!
Damon deftly took over hosting duties, but he had a lot of help along the way. During his opening monologue he joked, “This is like the time I lost my virginity, except this is going to last way longer than one second,” before handing the task over to Robin Williams. Sheryl Crowe backed up the “Promised Land” actor as guest band leader for the night.
