Talk show host Ricki Lake and jewelry designer Christian Evans tied the knot on Sunday in a secret ceremony in southern California, reports People.
The new "Dancing with the Stars" champion J.R. Martinez talked backstage with "Extra" special correspondent Tony Dovolani after his big win, talking about how his mother was there to help celebrate!
"I was like, 'Where are you?'" Martinez laughed. "She's like 4'11", poor thing, hidden in the crowd. But it's amazing to think that 8, 12 years ago, she was teaching me how to walk after my injury in Iraq. Now to say I am of those winners on the show is amazing."
In a powerful Season 13 finale, the "Dancing with the Stars" mirror ball trophy went to J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff!
The soldier-turned-actor, whose triumph over severe burns received in Iraq brought raw emotion to the ballroom, had excelled throughout the competition. During Monday's performances, J.R. and Karina came in second, but danced a daring, high-energy freestyle to "Whine Up" by Kat DeLuna. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said the lifts were the "sickest" she's ever seen. Watch the performance that gave the dancing duo a perfect 30!
Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough were eliminated earlier in Tuesday's show, leaving Rob Kardashian and his dancing mate Cheryl Burke to perform one last time against Smirnoff and Martinez. After the votes were tallied, Martinez was named the winner.
"Dancing with the Stars" finalists Rob Kardashian, J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake took to the stage on Monday night and showed off some impressive moves, with Rob earning a perfect 30.
Rob's famous family cheered him on in the audience, with older sister Kim making her first appearance at the studio since announcing her divorce from Kris Humphries. The Kardashian clan wore matching white button-down shirts and black jackets for the action-packed evening. Rob commented, "They dressed for the occasion!"
Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars" showed the final four -- Rob Kardashian, Ricki Lake, J.R. Martinez and Hope Solo --with well-crafted moves in three dances; the individual, an Argentine tango and the cha-cha.
Rob Kardashian received his first 10 of the season for a sexy samba performance that Carrie Anne Inaba deemed "amazing, fluid and fantastic." He also beat competitors in the cha cha relay, which earned him the first place score, alongside Ricki Lake.
A shrinking Ricki Lake proudly told "Extra's" Mario Lopez, "I'm gonna share clothes with Brooke Burke by the end of this! That's a good goal to set."
The "Dancing with the Stars" contestant spoke realistically about her weight loss, saying, "I'm not gonna end up with that six pack that you have at the end. I'm 43 years old." Lake gushed, "I am wearing a size 28 Paige Jeans. Jeans don't lie, and I am just happy!"
Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars" was nearly overshadowed by Cher's superstar presence in the audience. Chaz Bono's mom sat front and center and was in tears after Chaz's Rocky-themed performance.
"Extra's" Renee Bargh was backstage to chat with Bono -- who said, "My mom was more nervous than I was." Renee read a tweet that Cher had written, saying, "I wasn't expecting to be so nervous... broke my bracelet clapping. I'm so proud, Chaz was great!"
"Dancing with the Stars" contestant Nancy Grace's wardrobe malfunction busted out all over the internet after Monday night's performance.
At the conclusion of her dance with partner Tristan MacManus, Grace popped out of the top of her dress, prompting a quick adjustment. Tom Bergeron cracked, "On the European version that would be perfectly fine."
