Newly crowned "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez won't be the next Simon Cowell, but she will be honest!
"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with Lopez right after the announcement that she, along with Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, would be judging the show's 10th season, and asked her about how she'll handle her duties.
According to FOX Chief Rupert Murdoch, negotiations for the new "American Idol" judges are close to being signed -- in what is turning out to be a game of musical almost-chairs.

It's hard to believe that "Glee's" Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes Jones, was once rejected by "American Idol." "Extra" caught up with "Idol" judge Randy Jackson on Saturday at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, where he told us Riley didn't even make it past the producers audition.

"I'm honestly, really excited for Ryan Murphy and the whole 'Glee' cast," said Jackson. "Yo, that girl Amber Riley, she I guess ,I didn't know this, she didn't make it to us. She auditioned for 'Idol' and got rejected. She's like the lead singer the lead star of 'Glee' and let me tell you something America, this girl is talented and she can really sing."
The "American Idol" judges are getting animated on "The Simpsons" 21st season finale.

In the episode, "Judge Me Tender," Moe discovers a talent for judging contests and is invited to appear on "American Idol" with host Ryan Seacrest and fellow judges Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson, all guest-voicing as themselves.
