The three said they never expected the show to last as long as it did. Pauly D explained, “No idea it would turn into six seasons.”
Mario asked The Situation, who recently completed a stint in rehab, how he was dealing with staying sober. “You guys are going to see how I dealt with it, how my roommates dealt with it and how they helped me.”
Following rumors that the Jersey gang might not be back for another season, MTV confirmed Monday that all seven castmates, plus a baby bump, will be returning to the Shore House. Filming is set to begin in summer 2012, accompanying Snooki's final stages of pregnancy.
"While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same," stated MTV.

The cast of "Jersey Shore" welcomed "Extra" to their scenic Italian rooftop hangout to talk about their overseas experience during season four, which debuts this Thursday on MTV.
The cast happily talked about the amazing food they devoured, with Pauly DelVecchio saying, "A lot of pasta, bread, prosciutto," and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino joking, "It's pasta with a side of pasta."
There were reports Friday that MTV is planning to hire a new cast for their hit show "Jersey Shore" -- but the cable network has denied any such thing.
"We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show," MTV reps said in a statement.
"Extra" special correspondent Holly Madison caught up with "Shore" star Pauly D at the Palms Resort, who told her, "Yeah, MTV gave a statement and they said that that's not the case. They are not going to recast us. I don't think that they can recast us. Each one of us has our own personality, you can't replace us. They only have people trying to be like us!"
The 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards had all the red carpet action, including Katy Perry and Russell Brand, making their first public appearance as a married couple.
"I mean, it just feels lovely," Perry beamed to MTV about being married, looking stunning in her Jeremy Scott red mini. She even said she forgave her BFF Rihanna for missing the nuptials, "I bent her over and smacked her on the ass... and then I forgave her and then I said 'I love you, bitch!'"
The cast of "The Jersey Shore" may be rubbing elbows with the rich and famous now -- but an encounter with Leonardo DiCaprio still left Mike "The Situation" starstruck.
Mike explains meeting the celebrity at Hollywood hotspot Voyeur during an interview on the "Chelsea Handler Show." "We were with Kevin Connolly the whole night, and he's like, 'Oh I want to bring you to this VIP table'...all of a sudden we walk over, and somebody's got a hat on... and he's like, 'Oh I want you to meet someone.' I look up and it's Leo and he goes, 'GTL baby!' And I was like 'Yeah!'"
GTL is "Jersey Shore" speak for gym, tan, laundry -- three necessities that the Situation shares with friend and co-star, Pauly D. "GTL is something that's between me and him... we had the same outlook on everything. It was pretty much GTL from the start."
"Jersey" girl Jenni J-Woww Farley seems to have made a good impression on the "Revolutionary Road" star -- she posted a picture on her Facebook page of the two partying together.
The MTV stars have enjoyed life in the spotlight after the series made headlines when Snooki was punched in the face.
"Obviously it was hard to watch," Snooki says of the infamous sucker punch. "But what I got out of it is I have a tough face... nothing broke. I still look good."
Snooki also confessed that she and cast member The Situation have hooked up -- but there's no weirdness.
"It's not awkward at all. Like, if I want to makeout with him right now I can," Snooki says. "It's not weird."
