“Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi is speaking out about the deadly gang rape making headlines in India. She told Erin Burnett, of CNN's "OutFront," “I’m from India and, well, it didn’t surprise me, it disgusted me.”Padma explained that the story of five men charged with raping and beating to death 23-year-old female student Joyti Singh on a bus in Dehli, reminded her of being “leered at” and “intimidated” as a youngster there.
"Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi opened up exclusively to "Extra" about the battle against wealthy computer mogul Adam Dell, who successfully fought to be recognized as the father of Padma's 2-year-old daughter, Krishna. The child will now have Dell's last name, and Dell will have extra custody and visitation rights.
Lakshmi, who attended The Blossom Ball in NYC, told "Extra," "[Krishna] just turned 2 years old and she's a beautiful, healthy, happy baby, and I didn't lose anything. There was nothing to lose -- she's a delight and joy."
Billionaire Theodore Forstmann, who dated "Top Chef" host and actress Padma Lakshmi, has died from brain cancer.
Forstmann, who headed sports and modeling talent agency IMG, among other businesses, was 71. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in May.

Lakshmi's baby daddy, Adam Dell, filed papers in New York on Tuesday, seeking sole custody of the child, TMZ reports.
