A tearful Rihanna sat down with Oprah Winfrey recently to talk about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The interview is part of Winfrey’s Barbados visit with the singer for her show “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
“I lost my best friend,” Rihanna said of the night that Chris beat her three years ago. “Everything I knew switched -- switched in a night and I couldn’t control that… it is not easy to interpret on camera, not with the world watching.”

“I was really confused,” Paris admitted to Oprah. “I didn’t get why I was wearing a mask.”
The teenager has now come to understand her father’s motives. “I understand it now why our dad would want our face covered when we went out without him. We wouldn't be recognized, and we could have a normal childhood.”

Oprah Winfrey scored a sit-down with Michael Jackson’s only daughter, Paris, in which the teenager talks about life without her dad on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
Oprah has an intimate conversation with the 14-year-old, who at one point tells the talk show queen, “It never gets easier,” in dealing with the loss of her father. "My thing is I've always thought life is better when you can share it, "Oprah told "Extra's" AJ Calloway, adding, "Information that opens up your heart space and allows you to be the best you can be."
This includes a pilot with New Age guru Iyanla Vanzant called "Lovetown USA," in which a whole town falls in love, and Winfrey's "Oprah's Lifeclass: The Tour," which kicked off in St. Louis.
