Last month's devastating earthquake in Haiti has brought together Miley Cyrus and celebrity pals for an online auction to aid in Haiti relief.
"Ever since the earthquake, I've been trying to do my part to help the people of Haiti -- and I wanted to do more," the Disney star told People magazine.

Cyrus, 17, has recruited a group of star-studded celebs to help with donations for the auction. Nicole Richie donated jewelry from her House of Harlow line and Britney Spears will be auctioning off her custom silver Versace dress that she wore during the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.
"Everyone has been so generous," Cyrus told People. "My mom and I started calling and texting all of our friends to see if they'd like to be a part of the auction. Demi Lovato was one of the first to respond. Hugh Jackman was also excited to donate something."
The auction begins on February 8th. If you want to bid on the Herve Leger dress Cyrus wore to the Grammys, visit eBay.com/Miley.

Musician Joel Madden hosted a special night at Moon Nightclub at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Thursday to support those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

Part of the evening's proceeds were donated to the UNICEF Tap Project. Madden, served as DJ for the night, announced, "All the money that Moon Nightclub is going to donate to UNICEF tonight is really going to help and go a long way," adding, "I'm so happy and thankful to Moon and the Palms for doing that for UNICEF, and it makes tonight even more fun for me."

Casey Johnson's death at 30 was untimely, but it didn't come as a shock to people in her inner circle.
"She had so many ups and downs, but lately, it wasn't very good," a friend of Casey's tells People magazine. "She tried rehab, wanted things to change... but it didn't stick."
The pal says that Johnson's increasingly bizarre behavior continued up until her death. "Just a few months ago, she was living like a crazy person," the source says. "Super erratic behavior. People could barely be around her."
The source says the Johnson family was estranged from Casey and had cut her money supply in hopes that she would turn her life around. "Her family couldn't handle her behavior and lack of respect, so they cut her off," the pal says. "They thought it would teach her to turn things around."
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, childhood pals of Johnson, reunited at the L.A. home of Nicky Hilton last night to mourn Casey's death.

Casey was reportedly engaged to reality star Tila Tequila when she died, and a close pal of Johnson, English model Jasmine Lennard, slams the "Shot at Love" star for enabling Casey's downward spiral.
Lennard tells Radar Online, "Casey's family tried desperately to help her... when it came out that Casey had been arrested, she had nobody and was lost. Tila got a hold of her and said, 'Hey, come out with me and we'll show them!' For her to die with this reputation, it's just not her. Tila is a sick, sick girl."
Johnson's autopsy was completed yesterday, but results of toxicology tests could take weeks.

"Project Runway" has lined up numerous celebrities for the show's seventh season.
Nicole Richie will be a guest judge for the season premiere of the reality TV hit on Jan. 14.
"Nicole is a fabulous guest judge," "Project Runway" executive producer Sara Rea tells People magazine. "She has strong opinions and gives clear and specific constructive criticism to the designers. Also, she isn't afraid to disagree with the other judges."

Richie, 28, taped her appearance over the summer before giving birth to son Sparrow in Sept.
Last season, Christina Aguilera, Rebecca Romijn, Eva Longoria Parker and Lindsay Lohan all made appearances on the panel.
Richie has her own clothing line, Winter Kate and a jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960. The mother of two also created a collection of maternity clothes for A Pea in the Pod.

Nicole Richie has ditched her blonde locks for a chocolate brown 'do.
"I did it about a week-and-a-half ago," she told Usmagazine.com at the launch of her House of Harlow 1960 holiday collection at Bloomingale's in Costa Mesa, Calif. over the weekend.

"I change my hair color all the time and I hadn't done it in a few years," added Richie, 28, who lopped a few inches off her blonde hair earlier this year. "With the babies, I just really hadn't had time."
The reality star (who will produce her own scripted sitcom for ABC) welcomed son Sparrow this past September, and daughter Harlow -- who she says "loves being a big sister" -- in 2008.

"I'm so used to having that change all the time, and I hadn't done it in about two years, so I was just ready and sick of being blonde!" she continued. "I was ready for a change!"
Richie also opened up about how she'll spend the holidays with her beau Joel Madden.
"I don't have a lot of traditions," she said. "I have gotten a new Christmas ornament every year so I will probably do that. I'm a big eggnog drinker. Not the kind with alcohol in it, but the regular kind. I thought that everyone drinks eggnog, but as I'm getting older, I'm learning that people actually think it's really gross, but I love it, so I will definitely have some eggnog!"
