"America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon stopped by The Grove to talk with "Extra" correspondent Terri Seymour about the twins... and the gorgeous diamond necklace he gave to wife, Mariah Carey.
"It says Moroccan and Monroe in pink and white diamonds," explained Cannon. "My wife has so much jewelry, so I've got be really creative when I give gifts."
The proud papa said the twins are growing so fast. "My son Roc lives up to his name. He's a tough guy. He's already crawling. And then my daughter, she's just a diva."
Nick Cannon teamed up with AT&T, The Get Schooled Foundation and Viacom for the "Get Schooled Celebrity Challenge," a six-week promotion designed to engage students educationally during summer months.
Along with Nick, superstars Monica, Trey Songz, Anna Sophia Robb and Malin Akerman will also join the challenge, in which participants set educational goals and prepare for the upcoming school year.
New dad Nick Cannon stopped by The Grove and talked with "Extra's" Mario Lopez about the wild rumor Child Protective Services were called in because his wife, Mariah Carey, had been abusing alcohol while breastfeeding their baby twins.
"Aw man, it was a little crazy," said Cannon. "It just shows you what people will do to conjure up a story or try and a get picture. We don't know exactly who called, saying that my wife was drinking alcohol. One of the nurses told my wife that to make the breast milk come out, drink a little dark Guinness -- and it actually happened! So I guess that's where the story came from."
Singer Mariah Carey and TV host hubby Nick Cannon welcomed their twins -- a boy and girl -- last Saturday in Los Angeles. Their son's name is Moroccan Scott Cannon and his nickname is "Roc." He was named after a Moroccan-themed room in Mariah's New York City home. His sister will be called Monroe, after Marilyn.

The Moroccan Room, which sits on the top floor of the home is also the place where Nick proposed to Carey in 2008. Scott is Cannon's grandmother's maiden name and Nick's middle name.

The Rev. Al Sharpton conducted a renewal ceremony on Sunday -- from Carey's hospital room -- and blessed the baby girl and boy, whose names have not yet been released.

Singer Mariah Carey and her husband, Nick Cannon, have become parents on their third anniversary! Carey gave birth to her twins Saturday, a girl and a boy, at an undisclosed L.A. hospital, "Extra" has confirmed.

Carey's representative said the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches tall; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches tall.
In the May 2 issue of Life & Style magazine, Mariah Carey gives a sneak peek inside her glamorous nursery -- filled with comfy chairs, giant stuffed animals, a star-speckled ceiling, and matching pink and green cribs. "I feel like I'm bringing two individuals into the world, so I wanted to do more than cookie-cutter styles in blue and pink," the mom-to-be tells the magazine.
