An emotional Kelly Ripa, who played Hayley Vaughan for 12 years on "All My Children," called it a "bad day" after the learning of its cancellation, along with the axing of "One Life to Live."

The talk show host took a trip down memory lane to the set of "AMC" with husband Mark Consuelos. Ripa has said losing the long-running soap opera is like losing a member of family -- she met her husband and lifelong friends on the show, and was pregnant two times, although neither pregnancy was written into the episodes. Mark reminisced, "There were a lot of firsts here."
Fellow cast member Cameron Matheson, who played Ryan Lavery for 13 years, talked to "Extra" about the loss. Matheson said the cancellations will cause "a little anger, a little outrage."
Top-ranking "DWTS" performer Kirstie Alley said she's excited for next week's show when she dances the rumba with partner Maks.
She jokingly gave "Extra's" Renee Bargh details of her master plan for amping up their performance. "We're gonna have sex for the first time on 'Dancing with the Stars.' Just bang!"

When Renee asked Kirstie if BFF Kelly Preston critiques her performances, the actress responded, "She's just too sweet to critique me. She's just like, 'Oh my God... it was perfect.' And I go, 'Oh, I didn't get high enough scores,' and she'll go, 'It doesn't matter.'"
Glittering star Kirstie Alley and former "Karate Kid" Ralph Macchio came out on top in Monday night's premiere of "Dancing with the Stars," with Kirstie earning 23 points, right on the dancing heels of Ralph, who earned 24.

Alley even got some extra support from pal Kelly Preston, who "confiscated" Kirstie's Twitter to urge fans to vote for her. Preston told "Extra" she voted eleven times for Kirstie!
