Mel Gibson was axed from his upcoming cameo role in "The Hangover 2" on Thursday -- and he's already been replaced.

According to Variety, Liam Neeson is stepping in to replace Gibson after the cast voiced their concerns about having to work with him.

Alas, the return of Mel Gibson to the big screen in "Hangover 2" has hit a snag.

According to TMZ, Gibson was axed from the comedy because the cast was upset at the idea of him being a part of the flick.

Mel Gibson is itching for a big "Hangover" -- cameo, that is. "Extra" spoke with Gibson's close friend, Jodie Foster, who confirmed the actor will indeed make an appearance in "Hangover 2," the sequel to the Golden Globe-winning hit comedy.

Catching up with Foster at ELLE's 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute, she told "Extra" Gibson loved the first "Hangover."

Mel Gibson's baby mama, Oksana Grigorieva, is speaking out for the first time since the release of Gibson's shocking recordings, and to no one's surprise, she feared for her life.

"I thought he would kill me," Grigorieva said during an interview with People magazine. "He punched me in the mouth... I went to grab my keys and he's pulling a gun out of his shorts. He's starting to wave it... He threatened to kill me if I go to the police."
