When Matt told Brad he was going to recount the quotes that made headlines, Brad abruptly stuck out his hand and said, "No... please don't read it. Because... I don't read these things by choice, I don't. I don't want to be encumbered by any of that."
On Wednesday morning, "CBS Evening News" anchor Katie Couric returned to "Today," where she told former co-host Matt Lauer that she will make a decision about her future in the next few weeks.
Katie also told Matt that she's interested in hosting a syndicated talk show that would focus on health and social issues, as well as politics. Couric said, "It might be nice to have a little more wiggle room for me to show a little more personality."

On Wednesday, Matt Lauer reportedly said he would follow co-host Meredith Vieira's possible exit from the "Today" when his contract is up at the end of the year.

The latest rumor claims Lauer isn't considering leaving the morning show, but that he does want a bigger paycheck, reports TMZ. Lauer would like to rake in an extra $8 million, to be exact, bumping his pay up from $17 to $25 million.
The latest rumor in the morning show shakeup is CBS anchor Katie Couric wants to reunite with her former "Today" colleague Matt Lauer.

"Extra" spoke with PopEater.com's Rob Shuter who said, "She called her old friend Matt Lauer and asked him if he would be interested in doing the show with her."
Here today... and staying at "Today"? Matt Lauer has been rumored to be leaving his "Today" show post when his contract his up at the end of the year.

NBC released a statement, however, saying, "There seems to be an awful lot of speculation around news anchors these days, and it's not our practice to comment on any of it. Matt Lauer has a long term contract with NBC News and 'Today.'"
