“Saturday Night Live” paid special tribute to the Connecticut shooting victims this week, while “SNL” alum Martin Short shined as host alongside musical guest Paul McCartney.
The show started with a touching rendition of “Silent Night” by the New York City Children’s Chorus. Martin followed up the song with a star-studded opening featuring Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey and a llama!

Actor Martin Short realizes “people make mistakes.”
In responding to an interview he did Wednesday with “Today” show hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb -- in which Gifford mistakenly asked about Short’s now deceased wife – the funnyman told E! Online, “On live television, people make mistakes. There's no ill will intended."
While on the “Today” show, Gifford commented “he and [wife] Nancy have one of the greatest marriages of anybody in show business” and then asked, “How many years now for you guys?"

Remembered
Nancy Doman, wife of actor Martin Short, died suddenly on Saturday at the couple's Pacific Palisades home, according to RadarOnline.
The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived to Short's address at 8:30 AM and it is believed that Nancy died at the home.
