"Law and Order: SUV" star Mariska Hargitay and husband Peter Hermann have adopted a baby girl, according to People. Baby Amaya Josephine was born in the US about a week ago.
The couple tells the magazine they are "deliriously happy... from the moment she was born, she was just surprisingly alert and so full of love." The actress adds, "We were considering both international and domestic adoption and we're thrilled that this is the way our prayers were answered. We talked a lot about mixed-race adoptions, and we are very excited that we are now a multi-racial family. We're just so happy she's here."
The red carpet rocked some of TV's biggest names last night at the Emmys. "Law and Order: SVU" sexy leading lady Mariska Hargitay surprised the crowd with her stunning sunshine gown and gold accessories.
