Cowell is gearing up to reinvent the show. “It's got to be more fun. It's has to be a bit more crazy because I like doing shows like that. It was a bit serious last year.”

While Lovato is returning as a mentor, and Lopez as host, there is still no word on who will replace departing mentors Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. Rumored possibilities have included Paulina Rubio and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

All this month, "Extra" is teaming with some of YouTube’s biggest stars for a whole bunch of challenges, including Thursday’s “Blogilates” battle between hosts Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos. This round, the hosts had to do sit-ups while making oatmeal.

“I think she might've killed that guy. I'm not going to tweet her!”

Jennifer Lopez opened up to Mario Lopez about her Chris Brown collaboration. When he asked about a photo she tweeted, and if the two were teaming up, she replied, “Yes, when we were in the studio, writing songs and just getting that ‘Jenny from the Block’ flavor back.”


She added, “We actually worked on a bunch of [title] ideas… and we talked about doing a duet together for his album.”
