Emmy-winning journalist Maria Shriver is getting her old job back… well, sort of. The former first lady of California will return to NBC News as a special anchor reporting on “shifting roles, emerging power and evolving needs of women in modern life.”
“I’ve always believed that television can inspire and elevate humanity, and that’s my mission with this new partnership,” said Shriver in a statement.“The Last Stand” star Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t giving up on his marriage to Maria Shriver. Although his wife of 25 years filed for divorce in 2011, he still hopes to save the relationship.
The former California governor told Germany’s Bild newspaper that he spent Christmas with Shriver and the kids, and that “we’re not fighting any war. I hope for reconciliation. I still love Maria.”“Extra’s” Jerry Penacoli caught up with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the L.A. premiere of “The Last Stand,” where the actor talked about his family.

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to “60 Minutes” that cheating on Maria Shriver with housekeeper Mildred Baena was the “stupidest thing” he’d ever done to his former wife.
"I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship. It was terrible.
