"Extra" host Maria Menounos is "going purple" Thursday to take a stand against bullying and help celebrate Spirit Day with the LGBT community.
Spirit Day, sponsored by GLAAD, occurs every year on the third Thursday of October to support the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, and to speak out against bullying that affects many community members.

Funnyman Sean Hayes stopped by Universal Studios Hollywood to chat with “Extra’s” Maria Menounos about his new sitcom “Sean Saves the World,” and he ended up asking Maria about marriage.
Maria: “Well, yes, I've been together with my boyfriend for 15 years. We're not married.”
Sean: “15 years, has it even come up? The conversation, I mean.”
Maria: “Yes, yes.”
Sean: “Do you want to talk about that?”
Maria: “This is more about you!”
Sean: “I think they want to know what's going on with Maria Menunous. You're not just like, ‘Hey that's ‘Extra!’ We need to try get in there… I mean psychologically!”

The Bella twins, WWE’s resident “Total Divas,” visited “Extra’s” Maria Menounos at The Grove on Friday, where Nikki and Brie talked about fellow WWE superstar Darren Young’s announcement he is gay.
Menounos was in the Big Apple filling in for Kelly Ripa on "Live with Kelly and Michael." After a meeting with publicists in a midtown Manhattan high rise, Menounos boarded an elevator where she and another passenger felt the elevator stop, sink half a floor down, where they remained stuck inside for the next 20 minutes!
