A personal, handwritten letter sent by Michael Jackson to ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley has been taken off the auction block.

The letter, written sometime between 1993 and 1996, read, "Smell here [arrow with box] Lisa I truly need this rest I haven't slept litterally [sic] in 4 days now.  I need to be away from phones and Business people.  I must take care of my health first Im' [sic] crazy for you Love Turd." Lisa Marie Presley says she's "so very sad and confused" following news of her ex-husband Michael Jackson's death. She also says Jackson told her he worried he would die young like her father, Elvis.

"I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible," she said in a statement read on CNN. "I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels. Words fail me."

Lisa Marie recounted a conversation she had with Jackson years ago on her MySpace blog. She wrote, "He stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, 'I am afraid that I am going to end up like [Elvis], the way he did.'"

"I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much," she wrote.

Lisa Marie and Michael married in 1994. They divorced less than two years later.

Priscilla Presley, the former mother-in-law of Michael Jackson, has released a statement regarding the singer's untimely death.

Presley states, "I'm in shock, as I know everyone must be. What a tragic loss. My heartfelt thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time."

The actress/business woman's daughter, Lisa Marie, married Michael in 1994. Lisa Marie filed for divorce in 1996, but the former couple remained amicable.
