"Extra" was backstage with Bruno Tonioli after fan favorite Lil' Kim was sent packing -- and he told us he's shocked by the public's decision.

"My heart sunk," he told us. "She's such a brilliant performer... come on! Who would you rather watch?!" He added, "I am mad!"
It was widely speculated that cowboy Ty Murray and partner Chelsie Hightower would get the boot, but Lil' Kim received the lowest number of votes.
Rapper Lil' Kim was asked to leave the floor in a shocking "Dancing with the Stars" elimination last night!
Kim, who has received consistently high scores from the judges, earned 52 points on Monday after performing the waltz and salsa with partner Derek Hough. The tiny hip-hopper scored 6 points higher than Ty Murray, but the cowboy's fans helped him continue to the semifinals next week.
Head judge Len Goodman said that Kim "has been one of the best dancers" to ever appear on all eight seasons of the show. The rapper went home with a smile though, saying, "This is one of the greatest experiences I've ever experienced in my life."
Kim also commented that she'd opened "Dancing" up to a new audience, "because I brought people who never watched the show."
Gilles Marini, Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson and Ty Murray remain to duke it out on the dance floor. The "Dancing with the Stars" semifinal round airs Monday on ABC.
The competitors on "Dancing with the Stars" have been burning up the dance floor for weeks -- and the world has noticed! "Extra" dishes with the dancers about the kind of job offers they've received -- and one's they'd like to!

Former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and "Bachelor" rejectee Melissa Rycroft more than made up for missing her "Dancing with the Stars" performance last week by wowing the judges with a solo performance -- and earning a perfect score!
Rycroft and her partner Tony Dovolani performed the Viennese Waltz together, receiving 9s across the board. The only complaint from the judging panel for this dance is that Melissa seemed stiff -- understandable, considering that she is recuperating from a rib injury. During her solo number, Melissa attacked her samba with Tony -- and received a perfect 30 for her shimmies and shakes!
Fellow frontrunner Gilles Marini also scorched the dance floor during his foxtrot with partner Cheryl. Bruno and Carrie both gave 10s for their performance, while Len gave them a 9 for a few technical errors. The "Sex and the City" star rumbaed for his solo, and managed to score a 27 for his individual efforts.
Shawn Johnson proved she's still a strong competitor by scooping up scores of 27 and 29 for her two dances, tying her with Gilles for second place of the evening.
Lil' Kim faltered during her waltz with Derek Hough this week. The judging panel commented on how the rapper looked uncomfortable during her performance, leading Bruno to say, "You tried to be a lady, but you're more comfortable as a tramp." Kim ended the night with scores of 25 for the waltz, and 27 for her energetic, booty-shaking salsa.
Ty Murray tackled the Argentine tango, but came up short when compared to his competitors. The cowboy was praised for how much he has improved throughout the season, and earned a respectable 25 from the judges. His solo performance didn't fare as well, with his rumba only earning him 21 points.
Will Ty, the bottom scorer, be the next to go? Find out tonight when "Dancing with the Stars" airs on ABC!
The remaining contestants on "Dancing with the Stars" have shimmied, tangoed and twirled their way into the final five.

Now "Extra" wants to know -- which of the stars do you think will take home the mirror ball trophy?
Mark Ballas and Derek Hough recruited some of their famous pals for their new music video. Former and present "Dancing with the Stars" buds lipsynch to the band's new single in this hysterical new video!

Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars" not only saw fierce competition among the remaining seven, the go-go 1960s were the source of a bubbly group dance -- which included wild wigs that made some of the dancers nearly unrecognizable!
"The Bachelor" castoff Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani opened the show with a stunning tango, in which Melissa had been encouraged to find "her inner maneater." In a filmed bit, Tony introduced Melissa to "Desperate Housewives" star Teri Hatcher who taught her a thing or two about being a maneater. Judge Len Goodman said he thought it was fantastic and beautifully executed. Bruno said that the dance was the revenge of the Lolita. The couple came close to perfect with a 29 out of 30.
Rapper Lil' Kim and Derek Hough stole the top spot last week and last night they showed off their rumba. The partners tried to tone down Kim's sexiness, at the request of Len Goodman, who said parts of the dance were on par but not to try and please one person. Bruno said it was a good rumba and that she should bring back the raunch. The dancers received a total of 26 points.
Real-life couple Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough wanted to focus on technique this week with their samba. Len said it was Chuck's best dance to date. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba stood up and danced! Wicks and Hough earned triple 9s for a total of 27 points.
Gymnast Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas danced the cha cha. The 17-year-old was exhausted from travel and only had a few days to practice, but she was able to pull it off. Carrie Ann said that the dance came to life for her tonight and Bruno said it was like watching a young Debbie Reynolds or Mitzi Gaynor, "young and flamboyant." The judges gave the couple a 28 out of 30.
Sexy actor Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke were the final couple to grace the dance floor with the Viennese waltz. Len thought the routine was romantic and superb. Carrie Ann said she thinks Gilles is the most graceful male dancer she has ever seen. The couple also received triple 9's, for a total of 27 points.
Lawrence Taylor and Ty Murray both delivered mediocre waltzes and are expected to land in the bottom two.
The 1960s group dance was choreographed by former ballroom dancer Christian Perry. Carrie Ann thought the girls were on point and Len said it took him back to his days of clubbing in England.
Find out who will be eliminated tonight on "Dancing with the Stars"!
