Despite being linked to 14 women, Tiger Woods has been voted the Athlete of the Decade by the Associated Press.

Woods has won more PGA Tour titles in the past decades than all but four of golf's greatest players won during the span of their careers, the AP adds.

The news agency says Woods received 56 of the 142 votes cast by AP member editors. More than half of the ballots were cast after his controversial Nov. 27 car crash that set off infidelity reports.

Lance Armstrong came in second place with 33 votes for winning the Tour de France six times this decade. Grand Slam champion Roger Federer received 25 votes.
