Actress Kate Winslet is married! The Oscar winner tied the knot with beau Ned Rocknroll at a secret wedding in New York earlier this month, and Winslet’s “Titanic” co-star Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly gave the bride away.
Call him Sir Kenneth Branagh, if you please. The British actor/director was knighted during Queen Elizabeth II’s annual birthday honors, announced by Britain's Cabinet Office on Saturday.
Branagh said the award was very special to him. "I feel very humble about it, I feel elated about it," he told the BBC.
In other honors, Oscar winner Kate Winslet was made a CBE, or Commander of the British Empire.
"Extra" caught up with the $2-billon shipwreck star to talk about the colossal hit, now sailing back to the big screen 15 years later, in vivid 3D.
"Every single day I was overwhelmed. I was overwhelmed on the shoot and every day after the film came out. Nothing could have prepared me for the experience and the film being that successful," says Winslet.
"Titanic 3D" sinks into theaters on April 4.
