Her six-year run on TLC's "Jon and Kate Plus 8" and "Kate Plus 8" will soon be over, but reality mom Kate Gosselin is hopeful about continuing in television, telling "Extra's" Steve Santagati, "I love being on TV. Wherever it takes me, I'm open to whatever."

If a career is TV isn't in her future, the mother of eight says she's cooked up other delicious ideas. "I wouldn't rule out a restaurant, but not a bakery... ask my kids, I fail in the baking department." Always in charge, Gosselin said she would "for sure" fulfill the role of chef if she decided to go the restaurant route.
Celebrity mom Kate Gosselin and her brood of eight are getting a break from reality TV. TLC has decided to end "Kate Plus 8" after this season.

"TLC has decided not to renew another season of 'Kate Plus 8,'" a network rep told People.com in a statement. "By the end of this season, 'Kate Plus 8' will have hit the 150 episode mark (including 'Jon & Kate Plus 8'); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future."

In an interview with "Extra" special correspondent Steve Santagati, Gosselin explained she isn't opposed to dating. "I'm open to it," but added she really doesn't have much time to do it at the moment.

Mel Gibson and estranged wife Robyn stepped out together Saturday for a rare public appearance. The couple attended the 10th birthdays of two Guatemalan sisters, Maria de Jesus and Maria Teresa Quiej-Alvarez, who share a special bond with the Gibsons. Reality TV star Kate Gosselin hinted about possibly being involved in a new TV series called "Twist of Kate," which is still under wraps. "If it's not this show, I hope to be doing something else in TV. I've been given the gift of gab, so why not use it."
The reality mom also shared her thoughts on voting for Sarah Palin, her kids, and getting remarried.
"Extra's" AJ Calloway recently chatted with famous mom of eight, Kate Gosselin, who celebrated her 36th birthday at a nightclub in New York City... and somehow managed to get the top of her foot licked by a man!

Gosselin admitted, "I definitely forgot how having a couple of drinks can zap you."
The busy mom said she is still searching for Mr. Right -- obviously not inside that Manhattan club. Kate revealed her clubbing days are officially over, declaring, "I will not be found again in one of those while I'm living."

TLC's "Kate Plus 8" filmed an episode of their reality show at The Kiwi House, an aviary in New Zealand, but encountered some unwanted creatures hiding in the trees... paparazzi.
Kate spotted a pap while the guide was educating the kids about birds, and interrupted him to ask if they could "stop that from happening." Because they were on public property, they could not ask them to leave.
