Jon Bon Jovi is feeling blessed in the wake of his daughter Stephanie’s reported heroin overdose. In an exclusive interview with “Extra’s” AJ Calloway at the Mohegan Sun Arena, he explained that she’s back to her old self.
“There’s no manual that comes with parenting,” he said, adding, “You surround your kids with love, give them everything you can, you learn, you listen and there were no tell tale signs. None of that, but Steph's doing great, no BS… she’s doing great. I’m blessed that she's whole. I’m blessed that she's really back to being the kid I know.”
“Extra’s” AJ Calloway sat down with rocker Jon Bon Jovi for an exclusive interview as he readies his next world tour, giving “Extra” a behind-the-scenes peek and opening up about his new album.
The musician shared what he and the band do every night before stepping on stage. “In there, hangs a picture of Frank Sinatra. You touch the picture of Frank and then you come out.”
It has been a good couple of days for Jon Bon Jovi.
On Wednesday, he performed at the “121212” benefit concert to raise money for Hurricane Sandy victims and woke up Thursday morning to a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song for "Not Running Anymore” from the film "Stand Up Guys."
“Extra’s” AJ Calloway caught up with the superstar to get his reaction to both honors.
Bon Jovi said, “It’s a good day. Last night was phenomenal, obviously for a great cause… and then to wake up this morning and find out the project you have so much passion for -- “Stand Up Guys” -- gets a nomination for a Globes, it’s great.”
Rocker Jon Bon Jovi talked with “Extra” at the NYC premiere of “Stand Up Guys,” and gushed about meeting his idol (and the film’s star), Al Pacino.
The Bon Jovi frontman, who wrote two songs for the film’s soundtrack, said, “To be able to write something for him, to get the note from him, telling me how he loved it, to actually have met him… that's why I'm here today. I'm enjoying the moment.”Jon Bon Jovi is still processing his daughter’s apparent heroin overdose, but has spoken publicly about it for the first time.
