The couple released the name exclusively to People magazine, but no explanation of the name was given. BehindTheName.com says Seraphina is "derived from the biblical word seraphim -- which was Hebrew in origin and meant "fiery ones."
Garner gave birth on January 6 in Los Angeles. Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to daughter Violet, 3.
