Actress, mother and philanthropist Jennifer Garner has teamed up with Frigidaire for the "Save the Children" campaign, which encourages parents to get their kids off the couch and be more active.
Jen believes "it's so important to just get outside with your kids." The mother of two girls, Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2, spends some of her outdoor time with the family by playing baseball. "I alternate between coach and player," adding -- her batting skills are "not so good. I'm a big fan, but not so good."
"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with the big stars of "Arthur" at its premiere in NYC Tuesday night. Russell Brand compared himself to his character and described Arthur as a "crazy, fun-loving, lunatic, womanizing cad like I used to be before I got married."
The comedian said he is "happily married" to wife Katy Perry and would sacrifice everything for love -- like the song by Meat Loaf. "I haven't been watching 'Celebrity Apprentice' but I've heard he's [Meat Loaf] being eccentric," Brand said.
Actress and mom Jennifer Garner loves to cook for her family and lets her kids eat what they want -- in moderation.
"We eat ice cream and candy, yummy snacks are not banned from the house," Garner explained to "Extra's" Adrianna Costa at the launch of the Kid's Cooking Academy, sponsored by Frigidaire. "But it's in moderation. I also always put out crudités, with different dips to try. I want them to have a healthy relationship with food."
Garner also feels strongly about supporting her charity, Save the Children, working with Frigidaire on this important cause. "Frigidaire is encouraging families to get in the kitchen, and get the kids involved and all cook together," the actress said. "And when you go on Frigidaire.com and check out the Kid's Cooking Academy, $1 is donated toward their $500,000 donation towards Save the Children!"
"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with Oscar winner Ben Affleck at the New York premiere of his new film, "The Company Men," where the actor talked about his lack of plans for Christmas.
Ben told AJ that he's leaving all the planning to wife Jennifer Garner, saying, "I have no plans. So I'll talk to the boss and see what happens."

Actress Jennifer Garner turned "Extra's" Lifechanger when she served as the honorary chair for L.A. Loves Alex's Lemonade Culinary Cookout.
"Alex's Lemonade Stand was started by this little girl named Alexandra Scott who had cancer when she was 4 years old," Garner explained. "She said to her mom in the hospital 'As soon as I get out of here I want to have a lemonade stand.' That first lemonade stand raised $2,000 and as she went on, she kept having one lemonade stand after another and ended up raising all of this money before she died. When there's this kind of passion coming out of this sick little body, you can't help but want to be a part of carrying on her legacy."
Garner said she couldn't imagine as a parent hearing your child has cancer. "It is such a terrifying thought that your natural reaction is to look away or pretend like it's not happening but it is happening."

Actress Jennifer Garner stopped by "Extra" to dish about working with Russell Brand on "Arthur," and about her real-life leading man, husband Ben Affleck, and the good work she's doing with Save the Children.
Celebrating Ben's Oscar buzz for starring in and directing "The Town," Jen said, "I'm soooo proud of Ben, I can't tell you. I saw it ["The Town"], I lived it first hand. No one has worked harder."
