Playboy's Hugh Hefner has saved the world-famous Hollywood sign once again.
The magazine mogul gave $900,000 to a fundraising campaign to keep the sign in its pristine environs. The generous donation pushed past the $12.5 million needed to buy the 138 acres behind the sign, keeping out the builders who wanted to put in luxury homes.
Hugh Hefner is getting serious about one woman.
Hef reveals to E! News that two of his three girlfriends, twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, are moving out of the Playboy Mansion and into the Playmate House.
Hefner, 83, explains that things are getting "more serious" with his 23-year-old girlfriend, Crystal Harris -- and that the twins, 20, are looking forward to doing work for the Playmate brand.
"They've been hanging out with a lot of the other Playmates and they see these girls traveling across the country to do promotion," he says. "They would like to be doing that, too."
Hugh says that the move was his idea, and will be happening in the next couple of weeks. He also says the twins "will now be friends, but they won't be defined as the girlfriends."
When asked if he hears wedding bells in his future with Harris, Hef replies, "I haven't had a lot of luck with marriage. I don't have a good track record and I don't want to screw this one up."
The end of cohabitation won't necessarily mean the end of "The Girls Next Door." Hef says if the show is picked up for another season, it will follow the twins working with Playmates, and see "how my relationships are changing romantically and how that relates to Crystal."
"The Girls Next Door" airs on E!
Bridget Marquardt is thrilled about her pal Kendra Wilkinson's baby boy.
"I'm so excited and super happy for Kendra and Hank," the former "Girl Next Door" tells "Extra." "I know they will be extremely loving parents."
"This has been an incredible year for both of them and what a marvelous way to end it," continues Marquardt of her former Playboy mansion roommate, who wed Hank Baskett in June after splitting from Hugh Hefner the previous October.
"I'm sure these first few weeks can be very trying and I wish them both the very best," adds Marquardt, who hosts "Bridget's Sexiest Beaches" on the Travel Channel.
"I can't wait to meet (not so little) Hank IV!!" she goes on of the baby, who weighed in at 9 lbs., 5 ozs., and was born via C-section early Friday morning in Indianapolis.
Wilkinson and her husband, a wide receiver on the Indianapolis Colts, released a statement early Friday morning about the birth, "We're happy and healthy and enjoying every second with little Hank."
Tiger Woods apologized for "transgressions" with other women and Hugh Hefner says he understands.
"I think the only surprise in it, quite frankly, is that anybody would be surprised," Hefner tells Eonline.com. "If you're a good-looking guy and young and healthy, the notion that there would be something else going on, well, marriage is just a convenience."
He continued, "It's very nice for raising kids." The Playboy founder, 83, has been married twice and has four children.
Hefner added, "The notion that monogamy lasts forever is a wish!"
Woods and wife Elin Nordegren have two children and reportedly seeking marriage counseling.
Between jet-setting to exotic locales, a pimped-out mansion to call home and A-list parties attended on the arm of Hugh Hefner, Crystal Harris and Kristina & Karissa Shannon's lives are anything but ordinary.
But there wasn't always so much glitz and glam. Not long ago, "The Girls Next Door's" leading ladies were just your typical California blondes. Crystal, 23, was majoring in Psychology at San Diego State University. "I was living a pretty simple life. I was a college girl."
She hung out with friends, did some modeling on the side and eventually found herself hanging out at the Playboy Mansion. "I met Hef at a Halloween party and started coming up on weekends, and then he asked me to move in. It was all so unbelievable!"
Kristina and Karissa, 20-year-old twins from Clearwater, Fla. were bartenders before going west coast style. "We liked to party... party a lot." After sending in some photos to Playboy, they were asked to do a photo shoot and "never went back."
Fast-forward a year later... the Shannon sisters love life at the Mansion. "You can do anything. They have shampoo in all the showers so you can shower wherever. And you don't have to drive ten minutes up the street to go tanning or twenty minutes to the gym."
All three say they feel very lucky to be one of Hef's chosen few, catching his eye over "millions of other girls."
So what else do they do in their downtime? The twins say that they "have lots going on with the show, between doing promos and filming."
And when they're not working on the reality series, they have movie nights, pool parties in the famed grotto, and of course, every Sunday, a viewing party to watch... what else?
The new episode of "The Girls Next Door" airs Sunday at 10 PM on E!
