Superman won’t be back on the big screen until Summer 2013, but fans got an early look at the “Man of Steel” when the movie trailer debuted this weekend.
The clip is dark and moody with scenes of laundry hanging on a clothesline and Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) working on a fishing boat. At the end, the video offers a glimpse of Superman in all his glory, shooting into the sky and breaking the sound barrier.
Warner Bros. released this first pic of actor Henry Cavill as Superman in the upcoming reboot, "Man of Steel."

The film also stars Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane; Laurence Fishburne as Editor-in-Chief Perry White; Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent; Michael Shannon as the villain General Zod; and Julia Ormond and Russell Crowe as Superman's birth parents.
Three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams just got a job at the Daily Planet... she'll take on the role of Lois Lane in the upcoming "Superman" reboot.
Adams, 36, will star opposite the new Man of Steel, Henry Cavill, who is nine years her junior.

Director Zack Snyder (whose latest endeavor, "Sucker Punch," opened in second place at the box office this weekend) said in a statement, "Second only to Superman himself, the question of who will play Lois Lane is arguably what fans have been most curious about. So we are excited to announce the casting of Amy Adams, one of the most versatile and respected actresses in films today. Amy has the talent to capture all of the qualities we love about Lois: smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious and of course, beautiful."
