“Extra's” Mario Lopez caught up with Halle Berry at the 2012 Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk for Women, which Halle co-hosted, and where the Oscar winner talked for the first time about her recent confrontation with paparazzi.
Last week, Berry lost control with photographers camped out in front of daughter Nahla’s pre-school, screaming, “I’m doing something honorable -- I’m not harassing people!” and calling him expletives.Berry told Mario, “I hate that I lost my cool, but you know, I'm human. That happens and when it comes to my daughter, I'm ferocious!”

Seymour asked the Oscar winner if she believes her life would be different for daughter Nahla if they lived in another country. “Yeah, there are laws like in France, which is the reason I want go there,” said Berry. “Laws that protect children, protect right to privacy. All I want is for my family and myself to have a normal life. In Berry's first red carpet appearance since her engagement to French actor Olivier Martinez was made public, the actress laughed with Seymour about it, saying, "Who knew? I swore it off, right? Never say never, people!"Academy Award winner Halle Berry grew up in a household where domestic violence was present, and has since made it her goal to pay it forward by supporting the Jenesse Center, an organization that provides support for victims of domestic abuse.
This weekend, the organization held their "Silver Rose Awards and Auction Gala" to honor supporters and "those who make hope tangible."
In a 2010 interview with CNN, Academy Award winner Halle Berry shared she grew up in a household where domestic violence was present.
The actress has made it her goal to pay it forward by supporting the Jenesse Center, an organization that provides a support group for victims of physical abuse.
