There were rumors circulating this weekend that British singer Cheryl Cole was back on as an "X Factor" judge, but FOX, Fremantlemedia North America and Syco TV confirmed with "Extra" Monday that Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger is definitely aboard as the fourth judge.
"Nicole Scherzinger will be replacing Cheryl Cole on the judging panel of 'The X Factor,'" the companies said in a statement. "Nicole will join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul on their search across America to find the next global superstar or group to win the life-changing $5 million dollar recording deal."

Did celeb chef Gordon Ramsay publicly insult a television show host?
Ramsay didn't bite his tongue -- it's true! The "Hell's Kitchen" star slammed Aussie TV host Tracey Grimshaw during a cooking appearance in Melbourne in which Ramsay called Grimshaw an "old, ugly pig" in front of approximately 3,000 people.
In a baffling move, the chef suggested to reporters this was a publicity stunt devised by the TV host! Ramsay said, "It's obvious she's going for ratings." A disaster for a recipe!
Gordon Ramsay is still trying to wiggle his way out of "Hell" -- the chef laughed off cheating reports on a popular BBC show yesterday and dissed his alleged mistress.
"Come on though, if I was really going to cheat it wouldn't be with a complete slapper," he told the audience of "Good Food" with a smile.
The "Hell's Kitchen" foodie is accused of having an affair with writer Sarah Symonds, who claims he's had affairs with other women.
Gordon has four children with wife Tana.
