“American Idol” champ Fantasia Barrino stirred up controversy when she posted what seemed to be a slam against gay marriage.
Barrino wrote on her Instagram account (via goodasyou.org) on Wednesday, "I Rise ABOVE IT ALL!!! THE WORLD IS GONE MAD. KIDS, THE GOVERNMENT THE church House... Everybody Trying!!!!!!!" Then she added, “Its a lot that going on that the Bible speaks about we should Not be doing. Weed legal in some places, Gay Marriage Legal BUT YET IM JUDGED!!! I'm not doing Nothing for you... My Life!!!!"Singer Fantasia Barrino is expecting her second child. The star and her beau, Antwaun Cook, were spotted in Barbados last month, where the "Idol" alum sparked rumors she was pregnant after showing off a baby bump in her bathing suit.
Fantasia, 27, performed at a charity concert on Sunday in Jacksonville, Florida and made her big announcement to the crowd. The singer said, "For a while I walked around figuring out 'what will they say?' and 'what will they think about me?' But now I tell you I don't live my life for folk," adding, "This child that I am carrying... God has given me this child. And I don't have to hide it from none of y'all."
It's been two weeks since "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino attempted to take her life by ingesting a bottle of pills -- now she's opening up on what drove her to the breaking point.
Barrino, 26, sat down with "Good Morning America" on Tuesday for an emotional interview, where she relived the traumatic day.

As singer Fantasia Barrino was overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid Monday night, an unidentified person -- who was outside of Fantasia's North Carolina home at the time -- called the 911 operator, saying the former "American Idol" winner was losing consciousness. Listen to the call!

After overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid Monday night, "American Idol's" Fantasia Barrino is in stable condition.

The singer's manager, Brian Dickens, released a statement to "Extra" saying, "Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. She was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention. Fantasia is stable now."
"American Idol" Fantasia Barrino was rushed to the hospital Monday in Charlotte, N.C. for what has now been confirmed as a "medication overdose."

The singer's overdose was apparently caused by a combination of aspirin and a sleep aid, her rep told TMZ, but it's not "life threatening."
