Addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky is speaking out about his daughter Paulina’s eating disorder.He told “Extra” in a statement, "We are so proud of Paulina and her outreach to help others and particularly empower women. When she recognized she needed help she sought treatment and actively engaged in the process. And now she is using her insights to help others."
Fans were in shock on Tuesday to learn that Dr. Drew Pinsky has been battling prostate cancer for the past two years. After his scary diagnosis, Pinsky continued working on his HLN show while doctors closely monitored his tumor, eventually deciding to operate. No one had a clue that he was in the midst a health crisis.Dr. Drew on Call" host is speaking out about the diagnosis, telling “Extra’s” Mario Lopez, “I kept it hidden because I felt like I should probably talk about it when it’s over.”
Dr. Drew said, “God bless Judge Dabney for finally requiring her through the courts to get treatment. This should save her life,” pointing out that LiLo can “only leave when cleared by the medical director. I promise you she will not be ready in 90 days.”
As for reports Lindsay was out partying last night, Pinsky is not surprised. “When someone is planning on going into treatment, they will frequently go out for a last hurrah.”
Said Dr. Drew, “Whenever the child becomes a pawn or in the middle of a conflict between parents, that’s never good for the kids.”
