Hollywood veteran Dennis Hopper died Saturday from complications of prostate cancer, Reuters reports. He was 74.

Hopper had been battling the disease for the last year and died surrounded by family and friends, a friend told Reuters.
The ailing Dennis Hopper must pay $12,000 in spousal and child support a month to his soon-to-be ex-wife, a judge ordered Monday.

Hopper and his wife Victoria Duffy Hopper had been married for 14 years and have one child, but the actor, who is battling prostate cancer, filed for divorce in January.
A frail Dennis Hopper received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday morning.

The actor, currently battling prostate cancer, received approval from his doctor to attend the ceremony. "Everyone here today that I've invited, and obviously some that I haven't invited, have enriched my life tremendously," he said, adding, "They've shown me a world that I would never have seen being a farm boy from Dodge City, Kansas, and learning things I would never have learned."
