Best known for her role as Grace in the hit sitcom “Will & Grace,” Messing stars in the NBC show “Smash,” which airs its 2-hour finale on Sunday, May 26 at 9 PM.

Last night, NBC debuted their highly anticipated TV series, "Smash," starring Katharine McPhee, Megan Hilty, Debra Messing, Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston, Christian Borle and Brian d'Arcy James.

1. "American Idol" alum Katharine McPhee rose to fame on the fifth season of the singing competition in 2006, when she finished as the runner-up to Taylor Hicks. Her self-titled album's first single, "Over It," was certified gold in 2008. The singer also booked TV guest-star spots and film roles, including "The House Bunny," all while releasing new albums. "Smash" is McPhee's first recurring role in a TV series.
Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman have called it quits after 10 years, but still plan to live together to raise their 7-year-old son, according to US Weekly. How graceful.
The couple's rep said, "The separation was entirely mutual. They have been a couple for over twenty years, and the nature of their relationship simply changed over time."

"Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10-year marriage," Messing's rep told UsWeekly. "The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family."
Actress Debra Messing is returning to the small screen in a new series entitled "Smash," which debuts in February 2012.
The show revolves around a group of characters who come together to put on a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe.

Messing also took time from her busy filming schedule to make Santa Claus' job a lot easier this year as she introduced eBay's "Give a Toy Store" to benefit the Toys for Tots charity this holiday season.
