A solo Bell was all smiles at the Grammys, flashing her new diamond ring.
The couple started dating in January 2008. In an interview with Women's Health magazine, Bell described their relationship on the set of "When in Rome" as competitive.
"We were trying to one-up each other," she said. "That's what we do at home, too. It's like, 'Wait -- watch me do this funny bit.' 'No, watch me do this funny bit!."
Shepard previously dated Kate Hudson and Bell was formerly engaged to producer Kevin Mann.
