In the reboot of the popular movie franchise, Chris Pine takes on the role in “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,” following in the footsteps of Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck.

The film is an original story based on the character created by Tom Clancy, who sadly died this week at age 66.
“Jack Ryan,” which also stars Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner, opens in theaters December 23.

She told “Extra’s” Ben Lyons, “Whether they are together or not that will remain to be seen. But come on, I'm not going to ruin the element of surprise! I signed papers, trust me! I will lose a kidney if I say too much!”
Captain James T. Kirk, Spock and friends are back for another intergalactic adventure in “Star Trek 2.” The new “Into the Darkness” trailer hints at lots of doom and gloom as the Starfleet takes on a “one-man weapon of mass destruction” played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
The new villain offers a sinister message in the trailer. "You think your world is safe. It is an illusion. A comforting lie told to protect you. Enjoy these final moments of peace, for I have returned to have my vengeance."
The stars of "This Means War" -- Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine -- sat down with "Extra" correspondent Terri Seymour and talked about their new comedy/romance.
Witherspoon, whose character is dating two top CIA operatives, played by Pine and Hardy, explained, "Well these guys are very different. They're both very sophisticated... very attractive."
In the new action comedy "This Means War," Chris Pine and Tom Hardy play two CIA agents and best friends who end up falling for the same woman, played by Reese Witherspoon -- and neither one wants to back down. Let the battle begin!
