“Extra” caught up with “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday, and he responded to the recent rumor that he and actress Charlize Theron are dating.

He told “Extra” host Maria Menounos he thought it was hilarious and he feels like he’s a target of a “practical joke.”

Charlize Theron is steaming over Kristen Stewart’s affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. Charlize, who was completely in the dark about the cheating scandal, is in an awkward position, reports Radar. She’s good friends with both Kristen and Sanders’ wife, Liberty Ross.

Family friendly “Madagascar 3” trumped sci-fi horror movie “Prometheus” at the box office this weekend, earning $60.4 million in the U.S. and Canada, according to Reuters. In the third “Madagascar” installment, “Europe’s Most Wanted,” Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman try to get back to the Big Apple by using a traveling circus as their cover.
