Celebs who hail from Oklahoma have been providing much needed support for victims of the deadly tornado that ripped through the state.
Carrie Underwood announced on Thursday she is donating $1 million to the Red Cross from her ironically named "Blown Away" tour's concert receipts.
"I have watched the devastation in my home state of Oklahoma over the past several days with great sadness," Underwood said in a statement, adding, "With the help of my fans who attended my concerts over the past year, we can offer the Red Cross a little extra help in comforting those affected by the recent tornados."
Country superstar Carrie Underwood looks gorgeous on the June cover of Marie Claire! She talked to the mag about her personality, dealing with anxiety and having children with hockey player hubby Mike Fisher.
She continued, “I’m not a mushy person at all. We were never a huggy family. Or a ‘let’s talk it out’ family. Technically I have siblings but they are quite a bit older than me -- I was the accident -- so I have the only-child syndrome going on. I’m a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean… I’m not a sociopath.”
