At 14, Bindi Irwin isn’t so little anymore. The daughter of “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, who won over millions as she continued her father’s conservation efforts after his death in 2006, stepped out in Sydney this week looking all grown up!
The budding actress, who once starred in a straight to DVD “Free Willy” flick, is back in the spotlight with the new film “Return to Nim’s Island.” Irwin has some big shoes to fill as she takes on the role of a castaway previously played by Abigail Breslin.
Nominees Tyra Banks, Bindi Irwin and Rachael Ray are among the celebrities set to present awards at the 2009 Daytime Emmys.
"Dancing with the Stars" hunk Gilles Marini, Dr. Phil, "Grey's Anatomy" star Sandra Oh and sassy octogenarian Betty White will also present.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 30 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles and will broadcast live on the CW. "Ugly Betty" beauty Vanessa Williams will host.

The most famous friend of animals, Bindi, celebrated her 10th birthday at the Australia Zoo with mom Terri.
Aussies Terri and Bindi Irwin are taking America by storm, and "Extra" was their first stop to promote Australia Week here in the U.S. And despite the tragic passing of beloved "Crocodile Hunter" Steve, the two have not dulled their enthusiasm for wildlife conservation.
Since Steve's death in 2006, Bindi Irwin has kept his legacy alive by traveling the world and supporting his Wildlife Warrior Program. When asked if Bindi thinks her dad is proud of her, she responded, "I hope so. I'm trying my very best."
She continued, "I do have a lot of dreams about him. I believe in angels. I really do think we need to carry on his message."
Bindi isn't the only one who constantly feels her father's presence. "At home, we live at the Australian Zoo so it's all things Steve," Terri said. "I think there's a little bit of Steve guiding us along."
The Irwins told "Extra" that singing superstar Kylie Minogue will be honored as part of G'Day USA: Australia Week event in Los Angeles. "Kylie has made such wonderful contributions to Australia, and Kylie and Bindi are about the same size," joked Terri. Speaking of music, Bindi admitted she's a fan of all genres, saying, "I listen to pretty much anything, from country music to rock and roll."
When asked if Terri has any advice for Britney Spears, she said, "Bindi's the one who said, 'People who are having trouble should go in the bush with us when we do our crocodile research work,' and if Britney and her family want to go in the bush with us, we'd love to have them."
"Extra" will be sitting down with Terri and Bindi Irwin, and we're giving you the chance to get to know them!
Just leave your questions below and "Extra" may pick one of them to give to the Australian stars.
