Reality stars Giuliana and Bill Rancic revealed some sad news on Sunday; their surrogate, nine-weeks pregnant with the Rancics’ second baby, has suffered a miscarriage.
Rancic joined “Extra’s” Mario Lopez at Universal Studios Hollywood on Monday, opening up that she and husband Bill Rancic had tried for a new baby all season on their hit reality show “Giuliana and Bill,” and received the news of the miscarriage on the season finale.
Guiliana explained, “Thankfully, we've had some time to process the news. It was hard. I mean, when you get that call that you've had a miscarriage… I've had a miscarriage myself that I talked about a few years ago, before we had Duke. Then our surrogate had one and we were just devastated.”

In Tuesday’s season finale of the reality show, the couple asked their gestational carrier, who gave birth to the Rancic’s 1-year-old son Duke last year, if she would be interested in carrying their second baby. The show then ended on the big cliffhanger!

"Honestly, work has been the best distraction for me," said Giuliana, who returned to E! this week, just two weeks after the surgery.
E! News host Giuliana Rancic went before the cameras again Tuesday, exactly two weeks after undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery in her battle against breast cancer.
"Thankfully, I've been feeling better every single day since surgery, and this weekend my doctors gave me the green light to get back to work," Rancic told E! Online. "Even though I moved a tad slower than usual today, everyone welcomed me back with open arms and it was a wonderful homecoming."
After being diagnosed with breast cancer three months ago, Giuliana Rancic tells People of her upcoming double mastectomy, "I think scars tell such an incredible story. I'll always look at them and think, 'Wow, I made it through that.'"
The 37-year-old E! News anchor, who married "The Apprentice" winner Bill Rancic four years ago, revealed she still has her vulnerable moments. "Usually, it's two in the morning, and I'll turn around from Bill so I don't wake him up, and I just cry," the 37-year-old said. "I sob and think, 'How did this happen?'"
