Arnold Schwarzenegger was back in the spotlight, appearing before a National Chamber of Commerce convention on Thursday night at L.A. Live to accept an award for his business support.
The former Governor, currently going through a public divorce with Maria Shriver, tried to find some humor in the awkward situation after getting on stage. He said, "I'm gonna run in 2012... I'm gonna run for President of the National Bodybuilding Association."
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are proving that it's possible to go through a complicated, painful divorce and still be cordial... for the sake of the kids.
The pair recently got together for a friend's graduation dinner at their favorite Brentwood eatery, Toscana, and again on Sunday when they met sons Patrick and Christopher to celebrate Arnold's 64th birthday.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's son Christopher, 13, headed home from the hospital Monday, after spending a week there following a surfing accident in which he suffered multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung.

Shriver tweeted Tuesday, "Blessed to be able to take Christopher out of the hospital last night. What a feeling of relief to know that he's going to be fine... We were very lucky. Many patients and families we met have been there so long and have no end in sight. I pray for their recovery.
Suffering from broken ribs and a collapsed lung, Christopher Schwarzenegger, 13, is still in the hospital recovering from a serious surfing accident, and his estranged parents Arnold and Maria are by his side.
Shriver called 911 following the accident saying, "He can't move... he's having trouble breathing."
The divorcing couple, reunited at their son's bedside, released a joint statement last week: "A few days ago our son Christopher suffered an accident at the beach. While it has been a very scary week, Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends. He is a brave boy and is expected to make a full recovery."
Former California First Lady Maria Shriver made the 911 call when her son, Christopher Schwarzenegger, was injured in a boogie boarding accident in Malibu.

Hear the call.
Shriver is heard explaining, "He can't move off the beach ... maybe like a broken ribs or something like that. It's my son ... he's awake and breathing; he just can't move. He's having trouble breathing."
