This latest season of "True Blood" is one of the raciest -- and goriest -- to date, and it's all heading towards an explosive season finale -- in just three weeks.

Paquin, Moyer's co-star and real-life love, said all the sex, blood and rock and roll isn't that big a deal to the cast since they're all pretty tight as a group. "Obviously, the more you're connected to any of your castmates, the easier it is. There's a level of trust there that's really amazing."

Anna Paquin's Trick 'r Treat goes straight to DVD

Oscar winner Anna Paquin stars in the über-successful series "True Blood" and she's a hot commodity in Hollywood, so why did her new flick "Trick 'r Treat" skip theaters and go straight to DVD?

Extratv.com talked to "Trick 'r Treat" director Michael Dougherty, and even he's perplexed! "I'm not 100% percent sure," Dougherty answered. "It's one of those eternal mysteries. It's not a typical horror film. It's not a remake. It's an original comedy anthology and breaks a lot of rules," Dougherty explained.

Dougherty says he chose Anna for the role because he worked with her on "X2" and thought "she would be perfect."

Paquin was cast in the horror flick before she took on the role of vampire lover Sookie Stackhouse in "True Blood." "Trick 'r Treat" was shot in Canada in 2006, two years before the success of "True Blood" in 2008.

"Trick 'r Treat" is available now on DVD and is the #3 best-selling horror film on Amazon.

"True Blood's" Stephen Moyer may lock horns with fellow vampire Alexander Skarsgard on the HBO series -- but Moyer is hoping for a same-sex romp between the bloodsuckers on the show.

"Alex is a good friend of mine and a fantastic actor and I love working with Alex and I don't get to do it as much as I would love to," Moyer revealed to Digital Spy, adding jokingly, "You never know -- whether they'll stick Eric and Bill in bed together, I don't know. But here's hoping!"

Moyer's Bill Compton is currently entangled in a love triangle with Skarsgard's Eric Northman and Anna Paquin's Sookie -- and approves of it. "One thing about great drama is that you can't watch two characters be happy for... well, sometimes half a season is too much. I think there has to be obstacles put in their way. I think the Bill and Eric characters are great."

Moyer, 39, and Paquin, 27, announced their for real engagement this summer.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer tried to keep their love a secret on the set of "True Blood," but creator Alan Ball reveals that the lovebirds weren't fooling anyone.

true blood love alan ball

"I know that they think that nobody knew about it until the end of the season, but I knew about it by episode two," Ball reveals to People magazine at the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network Respect Awards in L.A.

The 52-year-old writer and producer sensed sparks between Moyer and Paquin when the two first filmed the scene where their characters -- Bill and Sookie -- first met. "Stephen comes into the bar, and takes Anna's hand, and I thought, "Wow, they have chemistry!" But sometimes actors have chemistry when they're acting together, but they cannot stand each other while off set."

Alan admits that when he found out the two were dating, his first reaction was worry about how their romance would play-out on the set. "When I found out that they were dating, my reaction was, 'Uh-oh! I hope that this doesn't blow up in our face.'"

Ball adds, "But this has been happening long enough that it's very clear that it is the real thing. They're very, very happy and I'm just thrilled for them."

Stephen and Anna announced their engagement in August.
