Jeremy Spiegel
Executive Producer
Newsmagazine veteran Jeremy Spiegel serves as Executive Producer of "Extra," overseeing both the daily and weekend editions. Season 19 marks Spiegel's 16th year with the show. Prior to being named Executive Producer, he held numerous senior positions on the series, most recently as Co-Executive Producer.
From the Oscar red carpet all the way back to "Extra's" London coverage of Princess Diana's death, Spiegel has traveled the world to cover every high-profile story of the past two decades, including both OJ Trials, the Olympics, and JFK Jr.'s plane crash. His investigative story on the "Jerry Springer Show" made the front cover of New York newspapers. Spiegel created "Extra's" "Hollywood & Highland" segment and was instrumental in re-launching "Extra" with its new coast-to-coast "live event" format.
He also served as Executive Producer of "Inside the Vault," a nationally syndicated talk show produced by Telepictures, Liquid Thread and General Motors.
Prior to joining "Extra," Spiegel was a senior field producer for "American Journal" and "Inside Edition" in Los Angeles and New York. He started his broadcast career at FOX Television in New York.
Spiegel attended Rutgers University and majored in Broadcast Journalism.
He has been featured as an expert in the career book "Hot Jobs" and the A&E documentary "Minute by Minute: The OJ Bronco Chase."
He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
