I live in the state of MN. In MN, the presumed father is legally the father of a child conceived within 9 months before a divorce or is presumed if the couple is still married. This did happen to my daughter, so she had to make contact with her husband/ex-husband and he needed to sign paternity papers, exempting him as the father on all legal do***ents. In some cases, non-biological fathers end up paying child support due to legal ramifications. What a messed up world we live in.
