The people want to know: what kind of dog is the Obama family going to bring to the White House?
President-elect Barack Obama told George Stephanopoulos on ABC's "This Week" that the family has narrowed down their options. Obama revealed the pet will probably be a Labradoodle or a Portuguese Water Dog.

Vice President-elect Joe Biden has bought a six-week-old German Shepherd puppy, making good on his wife's promise that he could buy a dog if he and Barack Obama won the White House.
"[Joe] was very gracious," Pennsylvania breeder Linda Brown told People Pets. "He hugged and kissed all of the shepherds."
The puppy, which is to be named by Biden's grandchildren, will join him after being trained by dog trainer Mark Tobin -- whose dogs beefed up Joe's security on the campaign trail.
